He yanked his belt buckle open and flicked the button of his jeans. Her breath came short and choppy, her gaze fixed on his zip. She placed her forefinger at the top of the zip and ran it down the length of him. He stood, his hands on his hips, watching as she ran her finger back up the metal, his teeth clenched. He pulled his wallet from his back pocket and threw it at the table. Hands shaking slightly, she slowly drew the zip down and pushed the denim down his hips. She hummed as she drew his cotton shorts down too, and smiled as his cock sprang loose. She was brought out of her reverie by his hiss as she ran her finger from bottom to top, caressing the soft skin over the hard cock.

He quickly gathered her dress again. She stretched up on her toes and, still looking him in the eye, ran her tongue across her swollen lips. Then brought her lips down onto his, finally letting her eyelids close against the naked desire they shared. She claimed his lips as he had claimed hers earlier. His hands found the soft orbs encased in lace and he caressed them as he pushed her up against the length of his desire. She groaned when he slipped his fingers under the lace and ran his fingers along the edge of her crease.

Her eyes flew open. Desire, need and want wracked through her body. Already more turned on than she had ever been, she pulled back a little and looked up into his eyes.

“You want this, don’t you?” he said, and smiled down at her, then handed her a foil packet. She smiled back, opened it, and gently rolled the rubber down his impressive shaft. He alternated holding his breath and huffing as he watched her small pale hands caress him.

His hands continued to massage her ass under the lace. As soon as the condom was in place, he bent down and grabbed her butt and lifted her up his body. She brought her knees up and gripped his hips. Desperate for relief, she rubbed herself against his hot, hard cock. And moaned as the lace caressed her where she needed. Her breath was coming in choppy gasps.

He paused for a split second, questioned her with his eyes, and as soon as she gave a tiny nod, he brought her dripping core to the tip of his dick and pushed gently against the sodden lace. Emily hugged him. She rubbed her breasts against his chest as he nudged the lace out of the way. Her cotton dress grated against her nipples. At the second push, Emily sank down the full length of his cock. They sighed in unison.

“Hmmm” was her reply when he asked, “OK?” He chuckled and swung around. The wall was cold against Emily’s back. He grabbed her hips and held her still. The stretch had stung a little at first, but now she wanted him. Hard. Fast. Now.

She flexed her knees and moved up the rock-hard shaft. “Hmmm,” he said, his eyes closed, his body still. When she sank back down, he hissed and opened his eyes.

  “Now!” she demanded.

“Now,” he said. Grabbing her hips, he held her in place as he surged up, withdrew, and surged again. He grunted at each surge.

  Emily urged him on.

“Yes! Yes! Oh God!” Exquisite ecstasy seemed to be just out of reach. Emily clutched as his shoulders, again driving him on. Breathing hard, he brought his hand between their bodies, and his thumb grazed her clit. Emily stilled for a split second, then shouted.

“Yes! Again!” He circled his thumb again, and she gave a loud groan. Flashes of electricity detonated up and down her body. She felt her body twitch and flex. She could feel him inside her as her core spasmed. Through the darkness, she heard Jacob roar before the total shutdown of her brain.

Emily flexed her hand and felt the sting of pins and needles sweep across her palm. Underneath her cheek, she felt Jacob shift as he gently moved her so he could sit up. Emily wanted to close her eyes again and pretend this wasn’t happening.

You’ve just been done up against the wall.

What the hell have I done?

She moved her legs, allowing him to stand up. She peeked up at him as he straightened his clothes and wondered again how she had caught him. And more importantly, how to get him out with as little awkwardness as possible.

“Hey,” he said, as he came back from the bathroom. She took his extended hand and stood up. She smoothed down her dress and looked at him. His smile was kind of shy, Emily thought.

“I—” He stopped and looked down at his hands. If it weren’t so awkward, she would have laughed.

“It’s ok. You don’t have to say anything.” She desperately wanted him to leave, but it would be rude to just open the door and shoo him out, wouldn’t it? She looked longingly at the door, took a deep breath and was about to say something when he did instead.

“I don’t normally do this.” He paused. “I’m not, you know, a man-whore or anything.” He looked so embarrassed, and uncomfortable that a bubble of nervous laughter floated to the top and she nearly laughed out loud.

“Me neither. I’m not a man-whore or anything either.” She repeated his words back at him. They smiled, and most of the awkwardness passed.

“Look, take my number, maybe give me a call sometime, eh?” He shrugged his shoulders lightly and quickly wrote his number on an envelope on the table. He turned and scrutinized her face for a long moment. As if trying to memorise how she looked.

“You are so…nice, and…” He stopped talking to take a breath. “Beautiful.” She thought his voice had a melancholy edge to it but didn’t say anything. She took the envelope, eyes fixed on his hands. He dropped the gentlest of kisses on her lips, and Emily’s eyes moistened.

He gave her a little half smile, then he closed the door behind him.

He stalked off down the alley. What the actual fuck? Nice? You told her she was ‘nice’. Better than the ‘normal’ that had run through his brain. But he liked nice and needed normal.

But she doesn’t know that, asshole!

He stormed back out onto the main street just in time to catch the night bus back to the University Halls. He flashed his phone to pay the fare and slumped down in the nearest seat. He sighed as he jammed the phone into his pocket. She hadn’t sent a message. He sighed heavily. And he ignored all the messages from Tegan.

Pulling the phone out again, he scanned the news from back home as the bus made the five stops before his.

Later, sitting on his bed, nursing a beer, he opened Tegan’s messages.

It’s not what it looks like. Call me!

I didn’t know that photo was taken.

  Jacob?

  Please say something!

It really didn’t mean anything. I promise.

Come on! You’re gonna be gone for weeks!

Jacob? I know you’re there! Please! Talk to me!

He read the messages a second time.

After six months you couldn’t give me a couple of weeks for myself without cheating? He stood up and took another beer from the fridge.

So much for that commitment shit you’re always banging on about. He sighed again and ran his hand over his face. Images of Tegan kissing some guy in the Puck Bar flashed across his mind.

He walked to the window, and looked down at the full car park.

So why aren’t you more pissed, eh? He knew why. Because he didn’t care that much. Tegan had been fun, at first. Always available to celebrate their wins. Always available to commiserate their losses. Always available.

Always. Available. He threw the bottle top into the bin, this one went in. He couldn’t remember ever having much of a conversation with her. And now he came to think about it, he couldn’t even remember asking her to move in. It just happened. He sighed and took another swig of beer. She’s someone else’s problem now, he thought, and rested his head back on the wall, a weight seemed to lift from his shoulders. Yeah, Tegan’s someone else’s problem now.

After topping up the bath twice, Emily finally gave in and climbed out of the cool water. She scanned the text message that had taken her forty minutes to compose. It still wasn’t right, so she hit ‘save’. As her skin met the cool air, goosebumps covered her body. She threw on her robe and let the water out of the bath. A s
mile a mile wide ripped across her face as she walked past the front door.

Now that’s how you do rebound sex!

She reached down to turn off the lamp and saw Jacob’s wallet. Shit! Ya gonna have to see him again! bounded around inside her head. And she wasn’t too upset at that thought.

She pulled out her phone and hit send. This message had taken seconds to write.

  It said ‘Hi’.

And pinged across town, via Canada.
